Abstract

Buying a Car has been an important purchase decision in most of the people‟s life and emotions are attached to this purchase as it is one of the first high value assets being purchased. The Indian buyer today is conscious of the brand and the features. Their demands have been rising every day as they don‟t mind increasing their budget if it adds value to their social status in the society. The car industry today is catering to the demands of the youngsters and hence entry level SUVs with features are being launched in the market. The price of entry level segment has not only gone up significantly but the features and choices have also become inclusive than the past. Today financing has become an option to drive this industry and brings affordability to the buyer as EMI‟s have become part and parcel of one‟s life. A study was undertaken for Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad of Pune region. A total of 225 respondents residing in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad form the sample. SPSS 21 was used for the statistical analysis of the study along with some charts and percentage.
